Buying Beef
Do you sell beef directly to the public?
Yes. Rocking T Cattle Company at Thorneview sells beef directly to consumers in Watertown, Tennessee and the surrounding Middle Tennessee area. You can reserve a whole or half beef, purchase individual cuts at the farm store, or inquire about what is currently available.Can I buy individual beef cuts?
We sell by the 1/4 or 1/2. Availability varies by season and processing schedule. See more information on cuts here or check please call for more information.
Can I reserve a half or whole beef?
Yes. We accept reservations for half and whole beef. Reserving a larger portion is a great way for families to stock their freezer with locally raised Black Angus beef at a known price per pound. Use the Reserve Beef page to submit your reservation, or contact us directly with questions before you commit.Is your beef processed at a USDA-inspected facility?
Yes. All beef is processed at a USDA-inspected facility. This ensures the beef you receive meets federal inspection standards and is handled with proper food-safety protocols from processing through packaging.What breed of cattle do you raise?
We raise Black Angus cattle on approximately 315 acres in Watertown, Tennessee. The Rocking T herd has been part of our family operation since 1972.
Ordering & Reservations
How do I reserve beef?
The easiest way to reserve beef is through our online reservation form on the Reserve Beef page. Fill out your contact information, choose your beef option (whole, half, or individual cuts), and include any questions. You can also call us at 615-289-2138 or 615-879-2831 to speak with someone directly before submitting.Is a deposit required?
A reservation deposit will be required once our payment process is finalized. We will update this page and the Reserve Beef page when deposit details are confirmed. In the meantime, submit your reservation and we will contact you with next steps.What happens after I submit my reservation?
After you submit your reservation form, someone from the farm will follow up with you to confirm the details of your order, discuss any processing preferences where applicable, and coordinate pickup timing. We keep communication personal and direct.Can I contact someone before ordering?

Pickup & Delivery
Can I pick up beef at the farm?
Individual beef cuts and farm products can be picked up directly at Rocking T Cattle Company at Thorneview, 402 Bass Road, Watertown, TN 37184. We recommend confirming availability before your visit. Farm store hours are Tuesday–Saturday (hours pending final confirmation — please call ahead to verify current hours).Where is half or whole beef picked up?
Half and whole beef orders are picked up at the processor once processing is complete. We will coordinate the processor location and pickup timing with you after your reservation is confirmed.Do you offer local delivery?

Do you host agricultural events?

Thorneview is currently working toward Level I Arboretum certification.
